Word-Salad Wednesday: Sabaton – Metal Ripper

OK, I’m cheating a bit here, due to the context of the song, but it turned out relatively nonsensical regardless, so I’m going to go with it.  While Sabaton is best known for being Schoolhouse Rock for the headbanging crowd (at least as far as History is concerned), they have never neglected their metal roots and a number of albums contain a final track that acts as a tribute to their musical influences.  Metal Ripper from Coat of Arms is one of these, combining lyrical phrases from a number of well-known metal songs to make something new.  And jumbled.

And hey, for once the lyrics are included!

OK, I’m pretty sure I posted this video before, but it’s such a perfect example of the throw-random-rhyming-words-at-the-wall-and-see-what-sticks school of lyricism that I had to include it.  Besides I am just old and nerdy enough to remember Milton Berle fondly.
