Saving the best stuff for near the end and this is one of my absolute favorites. Dee Snyder and Alice Cooper, plus a cameo by zombie makeup king and sometimes actor Tom Savini (who also did all the makeup effects for the video). In addition to Alice, other (off-screen) musical guests on the song included Billy Joel, Clarence Clemmons and Bryan Setzer. This is an honest-to-goodness star-studded affair.
Unfortunately it was also the death knell for Twisted Sister’s career as MTV refused to show the video, leaving it dead in the water. Why? Oddly enough, not for the reason you’d think. The gore and cartoon violence were apparently acceptable, what was not acceptable was encouraging kids to treat their schools and teachers disrespectfully. No, really, because as long as they didn’t see this, kids would be thrilled to spend 6 1/2 hours a day trapped in a dysfunctional institution.
Did you catch a glimpse of a pre-90210 Luke Perry in there? No? Well, watch it again!
Introduction to the Monster, Monster series here.
Oh man, that’s just awesome. I feel the need to add this to my Halloween playlist.

Isn’t it? I found this a few years ago and now it’s a personal tradition.

It’s going to be one of mine, too. That’s just fantastic. I’m surprised that one slipped under my radar!
